TALLOW + ASH
The Laundry Lab
The Brief in Brief
Tallow + Ash needed a content studio that was anything but ordinary. With two distinct filming environments a soft, lifestyle-led “presenting” space and a slick, science-led “lab” space. The goal was to build flexible, camera-friendly sets that captured the brand’s sophisticated-meets-sensory identity. Everything needed to look great on film, switch easily between formats, and reflect the elevated, experimental feel of the brand’s laundry care line.
What We Did
We designed two purpose-built sets that could be used for filming YouTube content. The presenting set took cues from cult beauty brands and podcast studios, with a playful pastel backdrop, integrated shelving for T+A’s full product lineup, and modular furniture that allowed for seamless switch-ups between standing demos and sit-down interviews. The lab set leaned into sleek, clinical cool, brushed steel. We created a filming-friendly science bench that housed real lab kit (microscopes, pipettes, beakers) and built backdrops to make the content feel polished, but not too polished.
Why It Worked
From new fragrance launches to product shots and educational deep-dives, the brand can shoot everything in-house with a set that looks as good as their laundry smells. For a fast-growing indie brand, this kind of scalable production set-up is a game changer and we loved being part of creating it.
